Who is the data controller

What data we process

  • When you make a purchase: first name and surname, delivery and billing addresses, email address, telephone number, products purchased and total amount. Payment details are processed directly by the payment provider; we neither see nor store them.
  • When you create an account: email address, password (encrypted), order history and subscriptions.
  • When you contact us: your message and any details you include.
  • When you browse our website: IP address, device, pages visited and cookies, depending on what you accept via the cookie banner.

Why we process your data and on what legal basis

  • To manage your order, delivery, returns and customer service — performance of the contract.
  • To manage your subscription and its renewals — performance of the contract.
  • To issue invoices and comply with tax and accounting obligations — legal obligation.
  • To send you information about Sava products similar to those you have purchased, with an unsubscribe option in every email — legitimate interest (Article 21.2 of Law 34/2002).
  • To send you the newsletter if you subscribe to it — your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
  • To measure website usage and show you adverts tailored to your interests — your consent via the cookies banner.
  • To prevent fraud and protect the security of the shop — legitimate interest.

Who we share your data with

Only with the suppliers we need to provide you with the service and who process data on our behalf: the e-commerce platform, the warehouse and transport companies, payment providers, the email tool, analytics and advertising tools, and our accountancy firm. Some of these are based in the United States; such data transfers are covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, where applicable, or by standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. We may disclose data to the authorities where required by law. We do not sell your data.

How long we keep it

Order and invoice data: for the period required by tax and commercial legislation. Your account data: for as long as you keep your account active. Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe. Browsing data: for the duration of each cookie (see our Cookie Policy).

Your rights

You may access your data, rectify it, erase it, object to its processing, restrict its processing, request data portability and withdraw your consent by writing to hello@sava.food. We will respond within one month at the latest. If you believe we have not dealt with your request satisfactorily, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

Minors

The shop is intended for those aged 18 and over.

Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including the encryption of communications.
